MSS "Quick Reference" card updated in January 1999

A new version of the MSS Quick Reference card is now available. This document summarizes the Mass Storage System (MSS) commands and subroutines available on the high-performance computers operated by SCD and on the UNIX front-end computer, meeker. SCD provides it as a handy pocket-sized booklet. You may request it by e-mail from docorder@ucar.edu or by submitting an online order at: www.scd.ucar.edu/docs/catalog/cat.hardcopy.html#orderform This new version of the MSS Quick Reference describes two new commands for moving data between the MSS and tape media: The msexp command copies MSS files to tape The msimp command copies tape files to the MSS These new commands have replaced the previous commands (msexport and msimport) that performed these functions.
