SCD networking section renamed

The people in SCD who manage, install, and maintain NCAR and UCAR networks have consolidated their organization into a single section:
The Network Engineering and Technology Section (NETS).

An information resource

The Networking Manual, which is a collaboration between NETS and SCD Operations, is a work-in-progress that describes NCAR/UCAR networks. Local users may be interested in the ATM Strategy paper at the NETS web site.

Other NETS information that may be useful or interesting to users is located in the: Projects, Collaborations, and Presentations directories of their web site.

Note: Some parts of the NETS web site are protected such that only machines with IP addresses starting with 128.117 (machines at NCAR and UCAR) are granted access.
