Linking SCD's Local Fortran Math Libraries

Here is how to link local mathematics libraries with f90 or f77 on SCD's compute-servers. We use libraries SPHEREPACK and MUDPACK for illustration. (The "64" in lib64 refers to addressable memory.) f90 compilation is recommended over f77, because vendor development is biased towards f90.

f90 on all Cray parallel-vector computers
- f90 job.f -L/usr/local/lib -lsphere,mudpack
f77 on Cray parallel-vector computers (aztec and paiute only)
- cf77 job.f -L/usr/local/lib -lsphere,mudpack
f90 on SGI Origin (dataproc)
- f90 -64 -mips4 -O2 -r8 job.f -L/usr/local/lib64/r8i4 -lsphere -lmudpack
  or
- f90 -64 -mips4 -O2 job.f -L/usr/local/lib64/r4i4 -lsphere -lmudpack
  depending on whether you want 64- or 32-bit floating-point arithmetic.
  File job.f contains a single-precision Fortran program.

f90 and f77 on Hewlett Packard Exemplar SPP2200 (sioux)
- no local math libraries are installed at this time.
