MUDPACK

MUDPACK is a collection of free, portable Fortran subroutines that are vectorized on Cray Research computers. MUDPACK uses automatic discretization and multigrid iteration to generate and solve second- and fourth-order approximations to two- and three-dimensional linear elliptic partial differential equations on rectangular regions with any combination of periodic, mixed derivative, and specified (Dirichlet) boundary conditions.

Recommendation: Use MUDPACK when you need free, portable, iterative solvers for the elliptic partial differential equations described above. See libraries FISHPAK and CRAYFISH for direct solvers.

Source code: obtainable by following instructions in section "OBTAINING MUDPACK SOFTWARE" in the MUDPACK document cited immediately above. You are required to fill out a web licensing-agreement to obtain the software.
