Telephone Service

VoIP telephoneCISL's Network Engineering and Telecommunications Section (NETS) provides telephone service to all of UCAR based on the Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP). VoIP converts the human voice into digital data that is transmitted over the Internet.

Users benefit from all the features of traditional phones including caller ID display, speakerphone, voice messaging, speed dialing, redial, conference calling, headset options, etc. In addition, their telephones provide online directories, a calendar function, local weather information, and customizable features including ring tones, language, and speed dial buttons.
