Service	Description
Computing Center	SCD operates the Mesa Lab Computing Center which houses NCAR supercomputers and enterprise servers
Computer Desktop Services	Desktop computers are provided to CISL staff and maintained and supported
Domain Name Service (DNS)	UCAR-wide domain name service returns IP numbers for server names
Email	Centralized email relay and related services, including IMAP and POP
License Server	Multi-user software licenses (eg. PGI compiler, Mathematica) are stored and checked out as needed by users
Maia Mailguard	Mailguard prevents spam using content filtering
Mailman Mailing Lists	Mailman provides email-based group discussions and distribution lists
Search Engines	UCAR-specific Google search and Verity Ultraseek internal document search
Spam Filtering	CISL provides blocklist filtering and Mailguard content filtering to prevent spam from reaching the email inboxes of UCAR staff
Subversion	Software version control using Subversion, the popular CVS replacement
Virus blocking	The UCAR email relay scans incoming and outgoing email attachments and quarantines messages with viruses for 10 days in Maia Mailguard, then deletes them
Web hosting	Centralized web hosting and related services for all UCAR, NCAR and UOP divisions and programs
