SCD lead story: September
3, 2005 Bluevista is an IBM p5-575 Symmetric Multi-Processor cluster. Its 15 frames are now on the floor of the NCAR Computing Room, located toward the right rear of the room as seen from the observation window in the SCD Visitor Area. SCD hopes to complete acceptance testing and early evaluation of bluevista by January 1, 2006, at which time it will be available for allocation and use by the university and NCAR communities and the Climate Simulation Laboratory.
