Version 2.8.4 of NetCDF operators installed

V ersion 2.8.4 of the NetCDF operators (NCO) was installed on all SCD supercomputing systems on 3 December 2003. This version includes a fix to the bug recently discovered in the 2.8.1 version of ncrcat. Users can access the new operators simply by including /usr/local/bin in their UNIX PATH and entering the name of the operator required.

In addition, all access to version 2.7.1 will be removed from these systems. Users who had previously used /contrib versions of NCO should replace these commands with the operator name in order to utilize the newest, supported version of NCO.
