XLF compiler upgrades

On 27 October 2003, bluesky's XLF Fortran compiler will be upgraded to version 8.1.1.0. A patch will be applied to correct a bug in the Fortran 90 len_trim intrinsic. (This note changes the previously announced upgrade time.)

XLF8.1.1.0 is available on babyblue, as of 15 October.

Blackforest's XLF compiler will be upgraded on 21 October, during the PM window.
