On 3 March 2003, version 5.8.0 of Perl was installed on SGI systems chinookfe, chinook, and mouache, under /usr/local/bin/perl. The older version of Perl, version 5.00404, will still be available under /usr/bin/perl. Version 5.8 is also available on dataproc.
