New stock footage library allows online searching of weather phenomena

Still images of weather phenomena are available from NCAR's Digital Media Catalog

Over the years, UCAR has compiled a unique set of film and video footage that captures weather phenomena and researchers in action. UCAR Communications is debuting a new stock footage library (see URL below) that allows online searching of this collection, including the following topics:

• Atmospheric and solar phenomena
• Pollution
• Clouds
• Research instruments
• Field projects
• Landscapes
• Storms and lightning
• The Mesa Lab and its surroundings

This website is available to users internally and externally, including commercial entities. Along with video footage, UCAR Communications can also help users obtain a wide variety of still images in both print and electronic formats.
