MSS crosses petabyte milestoneLast November the NCAR MSS exceeded 1 petabyte of stored data. To celebrate this monumental event, SCD staff invited UCAR/NCAR employees to a "Petabyte Party," which was held on 14 February 2003 in the Foothills Laboratory cafeteria atrium. Above, Gene Harano praises the efforts of SCD staff in the MSS Group and the Computer Production Group toward developing, managing, and supporting the system through the yearsand invites people to come back next February for a "2-Petabyte Party"!
