Accounts available on SGI Origin 3800, chinook

Former ute users have already been assigned accounts; two additional classes of users are eligible

Chinook,
the SGI 3800

Two special classes of users are eligible for an account on the SGI Origin 3800, chinook If you are one of these potential users, you must request an account on chinook before you can use it.

The two classes of users are

  • IBM blackforest users with jobs limited to usage of 1–3 IBM processors
  • Chipeta users running single or multiprocessor jobs who need to migrate prior to chipeta's 03 September decommissioning

Climate Simulation Laboratory (CSL) users who used ute have already been assigned an account on chinook. If you are a CSL user and wish to logon to chinook but are unable to do so, please contact SCD's Database Services (contact information below). Chinook will be available to CSL users at least through 30 November 2002.
