New deadline for Climate Simulation Laboratory proposals is May 20

Next round of allocations will be effective on 1 July 2002

Climate Simulation Laboratory

The Climate Simulation Laboratory (CSL) is soliciting proposals for the use of the CSL computing facilities beginning 1 July 2002. This multiagency computing facility is dedicated to climate modeling in support of the U.S. Global Change Research Program.

Information about the criteria for use of the CSL and the allocation process is posted at http://www.scd.ucar.edu/csl/ . A web-based application and specific information on the CSL equipment available will be posted at the same site.

The CSL is separate from the NCAR general-purpose computing facility, and CSL computing resources are allocated through a separate process. If you are currently using the CSL, please submit an updated proposal because SCD plans to reallocate the entire CSL capacity.

The deadline for submitting proposals is 20 May 2002. The required web-based application cannot be modified after that date. The next round of allocations will be effective on 1 July 2002.

If you have questions about the solicitation, please contact Ginger Caldwell at cal@ucar.edu or 303-497-1229.
