In January 2002, a workshop on "Performance Tuning for Microprocessor-based Systems" was offered via the AccessGrid. Participating sites included NCAR, the Albuquerque High-Performance Computing Center, Boston University, Consorzio Interuniversitario per il Calcolo Automatico dell'Italia, Dartmouth, the National Center for Supercomputing Applications, the Ohio Supercomputer Center, Pittsburgh Supercomputing Center, the San Diego Supercomputer Center, the University of Kansas, the University of Kentucky, and the University of Manchester.
