Getting ready for the big one: Aaron Andersen, manager of SCD's Operations and Infrastructure Support Section, was in charge of preparing the NCAR Computer Room for the Avanced Research Computing System (ARCS) installation.

Here he works with local IBM customer support engineers Kevin Babb and Jim Barnhart to relocate IBM SP blackforest consoles to other parts of the room. Meanwhile, the old SGI Origin 2000 (ute), and the CRAY J9se (chipeta) supercomputers are being decommissioned and removed.
