Work area: Months before the bluesky delivery, SCD began upgrading the infrastructure in the NCAR Computer Room to prepare it for the demands of the new system. Six new electrical panels and six 3/4-inch conduits (each 75–200 feet long) were part of the electrical upgrades.

Here, plastic curtains hang around the work area to protect production supercomputers from dust during the renovation.
