Books24x7 Referenceware for Professionals provides full-text, searchable electronic books online in subjects like Python, XML, Sendmail, Java, HTML, and Linux. The NCAR Library has obtained a subscription to these frequently updated books for the desktop use of all NCAR/UCAR staff.

To use the service:

  • Go to the NCAR Library web site at http://www.ucar.edu/library.
  • Click on the "Info. Resources" button.
  • Select "Books 24x7 References for Professionals."
  • Click on "Find Books."
  • Type words that represent a concept on which you are seeking information.

The system will return a list of books that discuss your topic and indicate exactly where within each online book you can read about it.
