Meeker passwords must be changed

Due to access by unauthorized users

SCD icon

SCD recently discovered that some unauthorized users had gained access to meeker. Since they had been on the system for some time before they were found out, it is impossible to know for sure how they got in; however, it is likely that the first point of entry was with a legitimate user's password that was read off the network wire when the user typed it. (This is the main reason why SCD is going to encrypted-only connections on 1 August 2001).

Since SCD has no way of knowing which user they originally got in as, all users are asked to please change their meeker passwords.
