UCAR's Tim Barnes introduces a visiting group of children to NCAR science. Here he points out a visualization of an East Asia coastal cyclone simulated by the Penn State/NCAR numerical model, MM5.

The images were generated by a version of a powerful software visualization tool called Vis5D, developed by SCD's Visualization and Enabling Technologies Section.

Tim Barnes recently received the "SCD Spirit" award for his participation in "SCD's Thriller."
