Install Palm Desktop software
The Palm Desktop software for Windows is what the Palm people
distribute with a Palm Organizer. It can also be downloaded from
the Palm home page. It
basically provides a Windows application that does address books,
calendar and to-do lists. It also provides the HotSync Manager,
which is started at boot time and responds whenever a user hits
the Hot Sync button on the Palm cradle.
- Insert the Palm Desktop Software v3.1 CD-ROM and
follow the directions. When done, you'll have a new
Palm menu item.
Configure Palm Desktop/Meeting Maker
In W2k, right-click on the little Hotsync Manager icon in the task
bar. Select Custom.... Select Pete
Siemsen. For each item in the list, select it and click
Change.... Set them carefully until you have
