Lynda McGinley told me about this new service on 2008-07-25:
To resync my cryptocard, ssh to password.ucar.edu from netserver. Once logged in, use the "resync" command. It'll display a challenge, and you go through the MENU/RESYNC sequence to reset it.
On 2006-02-23, I asked Michell Smart for a Cryptocard. She got a new card for me from Operations, serial number 202120839. I filled out and signed the NCAR CRYPTOCard receipt acknowledgement. She did something online, and from then on my security access changed. Now, when I connect to a NETS switch or phoenix, instead of an SNK challenge I get a Cryptoard challenge. The CryptoCard challenge displays a number, but I can usually ignore the number. The old SNK software on my Palm and on phoenix is now useless.
Michelle sent me an email that said I should review the Responsibilities and instructions for using an NCAR CRYPTOCard. That webpage has all the information I need, including a link that describes what to do when my CryptoCard gets out of sync.
Note that if I don't want to resync, I can enter the challenge on the cryptocard, kinda like the SNK system worked. To do so, instead of hitting PASSWORD to turn the card on, hit DIG SIG.
Contrast:

It should say Contrast.
ENT
use DIG SIG to raise the contrast, MENU to lower it.
PASSWORD to turn it off.
