Earth System Curator plans

In FY2006, the Earth System Curator will further develop its grid metadata schema, coordinate and reconcile this representation with other groups working on related metadata efforts, and present the results to the community at the next GO-ESSP meeting, anticipated in late spring 2006. A schema which at least minimally encompasses current IPCC metadata, and perhaps incorporates elements from components, should be possible by then as well.

The Curator partners will also proceed with modifications to the prototype database, specifically the incorporation of a component representation, and better representation of forcing data.
