Wireless LAN Access

Wireless technology is becoming increasingly prevalent throughout the world. Currently, SCD is outfitted with wireless access points that are maintained by the NETS group in SCD. Laptops are equipped with a wireless LAN cards from a variety of outside sources, or they can take advantage of our relationship with Dell or another vendor, and purchase a wireless ready laptop. Wireless Troubleshooting Instructions are available to you and your users in working through wireless problem at UCAR (and they may be useful for some things off site as well). Please use these to isolate the problem and therefore help in contacting the correct group for troubleshooting.
