CISL maintains an Active Directory server which stores user accounts and acts as a file server for staff to store and share files.

Domain Name Service (DNS)
UCAR-wide domain name service; returns IP numbers for server names.
E-Mail

Mailman Mailing Lists

WebMail
Remotely access your email account on supported UCAR divisional mail servers using a web browser.

The Security Team monitors the UCAR network and servers for intrusions and provides the UCAR Central Authentication Services.
UCAR Central Authentication Services (UCAS)
Centralized authentication service which authenticates UCAS passwords and UCAS tokens (eg. CRYPTOCards) for numerous applications and enables users to change a password.
Virtual Private Network (VPN)
Remote and wireless network users can utilize the VPN to access internal UCAR servers.
