CISL Resource Information System Project

Overview

The goal of the CISL Resource Information System project is to analyze and review the current information needs, data workflow and business processes of the organization in an effort to streamline processes and improve data resources.

To do this we must understand how CISL is managing and using resource data, how data is collected and presented and understand the daily database interactions.

Traditionally data has been pushed to other parts of the organization in the form of flat files. A main goal of this project is to examine and understand the data access needs of the organization and provide a set of tools providing quick, easy and consistent access to data holdings.
