Al Kellie

Al Kellie (kellie@ucar.edu) is director of the Computational and Information Systems Laboratory (CISL) at the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR).

Before he came to NCAR, Kellie was senior director of the Canadian Meteorological Centre in Dorval, Quebec. At the same time, he was director of the center's Computer and Telecommunications Branch, a scientific computational center involved in operations and research in atmospheric sciences.

A native of Brandon, Manitoba, Al spent 20 years at the Canadian Meteorological Centre, following graduate work at the University of Alberta and a brief stint as a military meteorologist.
